Healthcare Vulnerability Scanning Services

Scoped vulnerability scanning for healthcare IT, with clinical safety boundaries, coverage reporting, and actionable remediation priorities.

Find technical weaknesses while respecting clinical constraints

Healthcare vulnerability scanning must account for more than the number of systems tested. Patient-care workflows, sensitive information, medical devices, and vendor-supported configurations all affect how discovery should be performed. HIPAA CyberOps helps establish an authorized scan plan and interpret results in the context of the care environment.

What the service covers

Separate routine IT from clinical exceptions

Agree coverage for approved endpoints, servers, network services, and external access. Identify patient-connected equipment and fragile systems before scanning. Active tests on medical devices require explicit clinical engineering and vendor coordination; use approved alternatives where active scanning is unsafe.

Report confidence and coverage

Explain which assets were assessed, which could not be assessed, and where authentication or network boundaries limited results. Prioritize findings using exposure, system importance, and patient-information dependencies instead of presenting an undifferentiated scanner export.

Practical deliverables

Scope and deliverables are agreed before work begins. Depending on your environment, the engagement can include:

  • An approved scan scope, exclusions, and testing windows.
  • Prioritized technical findings with confidence and coverage limitations.
  • A remediation handoff and clinically appropriate retest plan.

Can every medical device be scanned like an ordinary workstation?

No. Device behavior, manufacturer support, and clinical dependencies can make ordinary scanning unsuitable. Agree safe methods before activity begins. A device excluded from scanning still needs a documented plan for assessing and managing its risk.
