Versa Concerto SD-WAN Authentication Vulnerability CVE-2025-34026

Historical catalog analysis: CISA added this entry on January 22, 2026. The entry reflects catalog information retrieved on August 31, 2026, not a snapshot archived on the inclusion date. Check current vendor guidance before acting.

What the vulnerability is

CVE-2025-34026 is an improper authentication vulnerability affecting the Versa Concerto SD-WAN orchestration platform. The flaw exists within the Traefik reverse proxy configuration. If exploited, this could allow an attacker to access administrative endpoints without proper authorization. Specifically, the internal Actuator endpoint may be leveraged to retrieve trace logs and heap dumps.

Exposure and applicability

This vulnerability is relevant to healthcare organizations that utilize Versa Concerto to manage SD-WAN connectivity across clinics, hospitals, and data centers. Because these platforms orchestrate the movement of traffic between sites, unauthorized administrative access to the orchestration layer could potentially expose sensitive system information or provide a foothold into the network infrastructure transporting electronic Protected Health Information (ePHI).

CISA added this vulnerability to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog on January 22, 2026, indicating that it has been observed in active exploitation.

Remediation priorities

Based on our analysis of the risk to healthcare operational resilience, we suggest the following prioritized actions:

  1. Immediate Mitigation Application: IT administrators should apply the mitigations provided by Versa Networks. If mitigations are unavailable for a specific deployment, organizations should evaluate whether to discontinue use of the product to prevent unauthorized access.
  2. Network Segmentation Review: Security leaders should ensure that orchestration platforms like Versa Concerto are not exposed to the public internet and are restricted to authorized management networks. This limits the potential entry paths for an attacker.
  3. Log Analysis: Security teams should review logs for unauthorized requests directed at administrative endpoints or the Actuator endpoint, which could indicate attempted exploitation of this flaw.

How to validate remediation

To verify that exposure has been reduced, administrators can coordinate with their network security team to confirm that vendor-supplied mitigations are active. Validation should focus on confirming that administrative endpoints—specifically those associated with the Traefik reverse proxy and Actuator—are no longer accessible without valid authentication from authorized management segments.

Limits and open questions

While the vulnerability allows access to heap dumps and trace logs, it is currently unknown if this flaw has been utilized in ransomware campaigns. Furthermore, while CISA has established a remediation deadline for federal agencies, this date does not constitute a legal requirement for private healthcare providers, though the active exploitation status suggests urgency. The effectiveness of mitigations may vary based on the specific environment and version of the orchestration platform in use.
